Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Advanced Brandon Concrete Construction website and the concrete work we do for you. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them.

Advanced Brandon Concrete Construction is a concrete contractor in Brandon, FL. "We", "us" and "our" mean the business and our crew. "You" means the person using the site or hiring us. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work through it, and you're welcome to contact us with any questions first.

What we do

We build and repair concrete for homes and businesses in Brandon and the cities around it, including driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, pool decks, steps, slabs, footings and retaining walls. You can read more about who we are on our About page, and see the full list of services from our home page.

The pages on this site explain how the work usually goes. They're general information and aren't a quote or a promise about your job. The details of your job are set by your written estimate and contract.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, so it covers the size of the job, the thickness of the slab, the finish you choose, how much old concrete comes out and how much base work the ground needs.

Some things only show up once the job is open, like soft or wet ground under the old slab, buried roots or debris, or old concrete that's thicker than expected. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you and explain the cost before we go on. We won't do extra work or change the price without your approval, given in writing or by text or email.

An estimate is good for the time written on it. After that, material prices can change, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you book, but concrete depends on the weather, so dates can move. We won't pour into rain or onto soaked ground because it weakens the surface, and we may shift a pour to an earlier hour in the summer heat so the top cures properly. If weather or a supplier delay moves your date, we'll tell you as soon as we know and give you the next open day.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (813) 471-5884 or reach us through our Contact page as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials, built forms or started work, you'll owe for what's already been done or ordered, as your contract sets out. If we have to cancel for a reason on our side, we'll refund any deposit for work we haven't done.

Payment

Your contract sets out what's due and when, including any deposit before we start and the balance at completion. We'll tell you which payment methods we take when you book.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made, and you may owe reasonable costs of collecting it where Florida law allows. Under Florida law, a contractor who isn't paid for work on a property may have the right to file a lien against it, and your contract will include any notice the law requires.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, to tell us about anything buried there that you know of, like sprinkler lines, drain pipes or septic parts, and to confirm where your property lines are. If your home has a homeowners association, getting its approval is your responsibility unless your contract says otherwise. Your contract also says who handles any permit the job needs.

New concrete needs time to cure, meaning to harden and gain strength before it carries weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and we're not responsible for damage caused by using the slab sooner, or by people, pets or vehicles getting onto it before then.

Warranty and what concrete normally does

We stand behind our work, and any warranty on your job is the one written into your contract. Outside of that written warranty, and as far as Florida law allows, we make no other warranties, whether stated or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Concrete can get small hairline cracks as it dries and shrinks. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give those cracks a straight place to form, but hairline cracks and slight differences in color or texture are normal and aren't defects. Our warranty doesn't cover damage from heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, deicing or harsh chemicals, tree roots, ground movement or flooding we couldn't control, or changes and repairs made by someone else.

Limits on our liability

As far as Florida law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, like lost use of your property, lost income or emotional distress, tied to our work or to this site. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for our own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.

Using this website

We try to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it's provided as is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.

The words, photos and design on this site belong to Advanced Brandon Concrete Construction. You're welcome to share a link, but please don't copy our content for commercial use without asking.

If we disagree

Call us first. Most problems get sorted out quickly when we come back out and look at the work together, and we'd rather fix something than argue about it.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court, unless one of us needs urgent relief from a court. Any lawsuit about our work or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

Florida law applies

These terms, your contract with us and any dispute about them are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. The terms that apply to a job are the ones in effect when you signed your contract, unless we both agree in writing to change them.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If your written contract and these terms say different things, the contract wins.

Questions about these terms
